A Fall Wedding...

Mid October in Michigan is seriously beautiful!  I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Matt & Lindsey on October 16th. It was a picture perfect  day (pun intended), the sun was out,  the fall color was spectacular, the air although brisk smelled of earth and leafy goodness, the wind rustled the leaves and sent some twirling around and around to the ground, it was magical.   Matt & Lindsey's wedding epitomized my photography style: "Fun, Creative and Beautiful" because that's who they are fun, creative and beautiful people.  I sure had fun creating beautiful photos of their special day! Here's a few of my personal favorites.

Fall Fun...

On a Sunday evening recently I did a photo shoot with my oldest son, his bride (the sweetest girl I know) and their four bundles of energy. There was a lot of activity: some smiling, some "dance freeze" action,  some dancey dance moves (shameless reference to Yo Gabba Gabba) some leave eating, leave pile jumping, leave throwing,  tree climbing, stream poking,  pumpkin holding and pumpkin rolling, corn stalk peeling,  and loads of fun! 

Let's start with "Air Guitar in a Tree!"

Next up "Yes, that's right I'm six months old and I climb trees!" 

Look at Emma on the right end...she's the leave eater!

The boys got a little carried away with the leave throwing....

Ta Daaaaaaa!

Here's the lovely one year old walking talking lovely little lady Ruby!   She's just getting going on walking and did many laps through my kitchen and living room last night, around and around and around and around looking super cute in her polka dot dress and polka dot tights all while holding and eating a chunk of bread and randomly saying "Ta Da!"  She's not only cute but talented too, she gets that from me...jokes!

The Staal Family...

Did you know that Bosses Day was last Saturday?  It was also Sweetest Day, talk about double booking of Holiday's.   Meet my Bossman and his beautiful family which includes their dog "Daisy."   

Here's Daisy obediently staying,  the tail is just starting to wag...

We've gone from tail wagging to sitting pretty...

And she's off!  Headed in my direction...I got a full fledged face licking :)

Morning light country drive #1

 I don't usually work on Friday's but a week ago I decided on a Friday morning that I'd head into work and get some work done.  On the way out the door I grabbed my camera, just in case, and four hours later I was still driving around, I never made it to work.  Driving around, in the country, the beautiful Fall country morning light.  The first photo I took right before I got in my car, in my apartment complex was what got me going, oh the light, the beautiful morning light it captured my attention and began the four hour early morning drive.  It was so much fun, listening to music, driving along, ohhing and ahhhing in my soul. 

                    

These are the images I captured but it's just not possible to capture the smell of the earth, the rustle of the corn stalks, the quiet, the stillness, the gentle breeze, this horse neighing at me...
