What We Have Here...

Friends and neighbors what we have here is a looooooooooong week-end! I'm using three vacation days this week that will run into the weekend, creating five days off!  Holla!  I have a list of things I need and want to do, but so far I'm really doing a whole lotta-nothin! And I like it! Here's what I've been up to today; Slept in, got up, made coffee, drank coffee, got lost in the land of Pinterest for awhile, looked at fonts, downloaded fonts, dinked around on facebook way to long, thought about exercising (but didn't), made more coffee, ate cashews for breakfast, a chunk of roasted chicken for lunch, worked on an art project for Etsy, watched and listened to the thunderstorms (lovely), thought about getting dressed (but haven't yet), placed photo order for an Etsy order, thought about cleaning (haven't).  I think you get the picture...a whole lotta-nothin! Isn't that what vacations are about?

Speaking of pictures here's some of my favorites from Elaina and Nathan's wedding. Which by the way was as lovely as lovely could be. It's easily in the top five wedding's I've ever done. "Why?" you may ask. Because the bride and groom were so fun, in love and were great to be around. They have surrounded themselves with some quality people, all characters but quality people. It really was a testament to the type of people they are, very special.  Also, because they placed a huge priority on photography which meant I had tons of time to capture their beautiful day. It was just that "A beautiful day!"

They did what is now one of my favorite things to do at weddings, A "First Look," which is a private intimate time before the ceremony where the bride and groom get to see each other. It truly is a beautiful moment between just them, my job is to set it up and then capture it, and stay out of the way and just let it unfold.  It's truly a wonderful moment. It also allows plenty of time for photos before the busyness of the ceremony and reception begin. If you're getting married I would say do a "First Look," you will not regret it. I promise!

 Seriously, look at his face.
From there on out he could not stop looking at her!

It had been a wet rainy week,
but the sun came out just as the ceremony started.

Lovely ladies...

 Handsome men...

A beautiful couple...

Their reception ended with a photo montage of their lives.
It solidified the fact that photography was and is
important to both of these families.
Both of their parents had tons of
photos of them as babies, kids, adults, etc...
A beautiful ending to a perfect day!
