Turkey, Stuffing and Apples Oh My!

I had a great Thanksgiving this year! It was so nice to spend time with family and friends, eat good food, relax, laugh and eat some more! Good times! Here's few photos of our day...

Love to see men in the kitchen cooking!
Our Turkey Chef!
He Brined the turkey before roasting it...
I'm here to tell you the Turkey was a thing of beauty and yummy!!!!
When he took it out of the oven I told him I was never more proud of him...
He said "Really? I've graduated from college, am married with four kids and you're saying this is the moment in my life that your most proud of?"
In my defense I can tell you I was hungry and the aroma of the turkey
were making my head swoon and my knees weak!

My contribution to the meal was to make a salad, mashed potatoes and the stuffing.

I made three different stuffing batches.
One without celery, one with veggie stock and one with
chicken stock celery and onion.
We all like stuffing so you have to have it the way you like it!

This brings us to the Apple part of our program.
We had Apple's in all shapes and sizes.
It looked like an "Apple" commercial.
Later in the day we called my son in
Portland on a iphone 4
and had a little video chat.
Thank you Steve Jobs!!!!!

I can tell you what he was thinking..."I want what he has!"
He couldn't talk him out of the ipad, so he nicely watched. Such a nice boy!
We like to start the kids out on Apples by six months old.
As soon as they can sit up they're good to go!
Stink eye alert...
She didn't know I was taking a photo of her
until she looked at me and I took another one :)
We're plating it up people, it's go time!
Patrick was proud of his Green Bean Casserole!
I've never been more proud of you son!
 Cute cousin alert!!!
Music compliments of Uncle Patrick and the crystal glasses.
I would be remiss if I didn't give hearty shout out to Keri & Carly for dessert,
to Brit for her contribution to this grand event,
to Kelsey and Chase for being part of the fun,
to Luke for being  a Rock Star at all times,
to Katy smiling and laughing at the appropriate times and just being pretty,
and last but not least to Horace for bringing the energy level up ten notches
and peeing on Patrick which was disgusting but highly entertaining!

Good times, great food and lovely people! I'm thankful!

Bloggin Rubes Part 2

In my last post I shared about being nervous to go shoot a wedding, and always being nervous before a shoot.  The wedding went great, I used a sweet new lens I just got and it worked like a dream...so yummy!  I'll be posting some wedding photos soon. After the wedding on Friday night I spent major portions of the weekend watching a Photography Workshop online that featured a great Children's Photograph.  Someone asked her the question "Do you still get nervous before a shoot?"  To my astonishment she said "Yes, she still gets nervous before every shoot."  So friends and neighbors turns out I'm normal!!!!!  This will be good news for some of you and a shock to the rest of you...

Now on to cuter things! Also in the previous post I shared about "The Rubes" and her recent sleep over with me. The purse, the keys, the walking around.  Her other favorite thing to do is climb on things and then stand up, repeatedly.  Once she stands up on a suitcase, chest, table, chair, what ever it may be she looks around, claps, and after awhile needs help getting down (she can't do that yet) to start the whole process over again.  She spent a lot of time doing this so of course some photos just had to be taken.

This last photo on the right is the look she gets when she's ready to get down, and guess what? Do it all over again.  Her absolute favorite thing to do was to climb up on a chest I have with the purse and the keys and stand up and put the keys in the purse, take them out, put them in and so forth and so on.  Oh Rubes you're a treat and such fun!

Bloggin it with Rubes...

Ruby came to my house for a sleep over last weekend, it was fun to have her here. She's walking now and pretty busy, but she's such a sweet spirited little gal.  I love her!   Her time here was spent walking around with this purse, which had car keys and an old phone in it. She'd get the keys out, put them back in, take them out, put them back in...you get the picture.   This enamored her attention for hours.

Usually on Friday nights  I babysit the babies and have a Grandma Julie popcorn and movie night but not tonight I'm getting ready to go Shoot a Wedding...I'm nervous, I always get nervous before a shoot. So stayed tuned for some sneek peek wedding photos, the couple is so good looking, it's a small intimate wedding and will be so pretty, it'll be fun once I get there and get in it!

Tradition continues...

The O'Dell Family has a self made tradition of having a "Girls Birthday Breakfast."  The last one we had was for my daughter in-law, the prettiest girl I know.  Our most recent one was for my other daughter in-law, the sweetest girl I know (don't worry I think she's pretty too). Since it was her birthday, she got to pick where and when, it's part of the tradition.   We met at "Cherie Inn" on a Saturday morning for our celebratory breakfast.  The two youngest cousins were in attendance, because after all they are girls! Having them along adds to the overall entertainment and hub bub of the festivities!

Here's the birthday girl and her super cute baby!
There's always lot's of laughs and coffee...

Ruby was busy randomly blowing kisses to a table of ladies by us.

Our next "Girl's Birthday Breakfast" will be mine!!!!!

The Johnson Family...

I've featured this good looking family on my blog before, but recently we did another photo shoot because their little guy is now six months old.  I'm just warning you he keeps getting cuter, and cuter and cuter...I don't foresee an end to his cuteness!   And get ready there's some Christmasy photos happening on this post, because let's face it Christmas is coming. So get ready here we go!!!!!!!
